We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His absolute deity, virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings. We believe in His substitutionary atoning death, the power of His blood to cleanse the soul from sin, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people and personal, visible return to earth. (Luke 1:32,35 Acts 1:9-11)

AFFIRMATION OF FAITH (Our beliefs based on the Holy Bible)

  1. THE WORD OF GOD

We believe the Bible is the Word of God, fully and verbally inspired by the Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible in its original manuscripts is free from all falsehood or mistake and so is entirely true and trustworthy in all its assertions on all matters of natural and theological fact and that is has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. (II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:21, Heb. 4:12)

  1. THE TRINITY

We believe there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons, and these are equal in every divine perfection, and they execute distinct, but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence and redemption. (Matt.3:16-17, Matt.28:19, Rom. 8:14-17)

  1. GOD THE FATHER

We believe in God, the Father, an infinite, personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. We believe He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, and He hears and answers prayer, and He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ. (Eph.1:3)

  1. JESUS CHRIST

  1. THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgement, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe in the deity of the Holy Spirit. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ and that He is an abiding helper, teacher and guide. (Acts 1:8, John 14:16-17, Romans 8:11)

  1. ANGELS

We believe angels are a distinct order of created spiritual beings; they can appear in human form; they minister to human beings and serve God as special messengers; that Satan, a fallen angel, and his evil angels whom he leads, exercise great but limited power in the world, and will suffer final defeat at the hands of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Heb.1:6-7, Matt. 25:41, Jude 6, 1 Peter 5:8)

  1. CREATION

We believe in the creation of man in holiness, in His likeness, by the direct act of God, and not by an evolutionary process. (Gen1:26, Matt.19:4, I tim.2:13-14)

  1. REGENERATION

We believe in the terrible reality of the fall of mankind and the resulting total and universal depravity of human nature. (Rom.5:12, Jer.17:9, Eph.2:1)

We believe all people are sinners by nature and by choice and are, therefore, under condemnation. Those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Saviour are regenerated by the Holy Spirit. (John 3:3, 5:24, Romans 8:1-2, 6-8)

  1. THE CHURCH

We believe in the universal church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the Head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local church, consisting of a company of believers in Jesus Christ, baptized on a credible profession of faith, and associated for worship, work and fellowship. We believe God has laid upon the members of the local church the primary task of giving the gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world. (Acts 2:41)

  1. CHRISTIAN CONDUCT

We believe a Christian should live for the glory of God and the well being of his fellowmen; his conduct should be blameless before the world; he should be a faithful steward of his possessions, body and family, and he should seek to realize for himself and others the full stature of maturity in Christ. (Col.3:1-17, James 4:4)

  1. MARRIAGE

We believe the Biblical definition of marriage to be the legal union of one man and one woman as instituted by God at creation. (Gen.2:18-25)

We believe the institution of marriage was intended by God to be a permanent, lifelong relationship between a man and a woman, regardless of trials, sickness, financial reverses or emotional stresses that many ensue. We believe the physical union of a man and a woman as husband and wife is undefiled (Heb.13:4), but all other physical unions are against the will of God, and those who practice such acts are in danger of God’s wrath. (I Cor.6:9-20, Lev.18:22, Rom.1:18,26-27)

  1. VALUE OF CHILDREN

We believe children are a heritage from the Lord and a blessing from His hand. We are, therefore, accountable to Him for raising, shaping and preparing them for a life of service to His kingdom and to humanity. (Luke 17:1-2, Eph.6:4, Psalm 127:3-5)

  1. SANCTITY OF HUMAN LIFE

We believe life is of inestimable worth and significant in all its dimensions, including the unborn, the aged, the widowed, the mentally handicapped, the unattractive, the physically challenged and every other condition in which humanness is expressed from conception to the grave. (Psalm 138:13-16)

  1. THE ORDINANCES

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ has committed two ordinances to the local church: baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We believe Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water into the name of the triune God. We believe the Lord’s Supper was instituted by Christ for commemoration of His death. We believe these two ordinances should be observed and administered until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Acts 2:41, I Cor. 11:23-26)

  1. RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

We believe every human being has direct relations with God, and is responsible to God alone in all matters of faith; each church is independent and must be free from interference by any ecclesiastical or political authority; therefore Church and State must be kept separate as having different functions, each fulfilling its duties free from dictation or patronage of the other. (I Tim.2:5)

  1. THE LAST THINGS

We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgement, the eternal happiness of the righteous, and the endless suffering of the wicked. (Rev.22:12, Matt.24:36, Matt.25:14-46)
